I have here another monster for gaming is the SS Republic of gamers mother model GL 7:03 GM it has the NVIDIA GTX 1060 with 6 gigabytes of RAM 16 gigabytes ram ram memory it will have soon as memory and input end point to SSD from Intel 760 P with 3 gigabytes per second a speed you have review for that SSD on my youtube channel it has also the lightest CPU i7 and this powerful gtx 1066 gigabytes of memory as as video card as you can see here have the specifications for the for this video card from nvidia as you can know on my channel you have a review for another model the SS Republic of gamers GL 7:03 GE that one has the NVIDIA GTX 1050 t I as memory as video card I wanted more performance it's an infestation in in time I I believe and it's a monster for gaming first of all so this is the Box in the end of this video you will see how fast it works in how many you will have the windows instead and some specifications with a special application for for this one inside you have all these papers stickers this keychain it's super super nice and very very well made and so you will have the charger for this for this laptop and first of all the monster the ss gl 7:03 GM with GTX 1066 gigabytes I know a lot of names specifications but these matters because with this with this video card with this gtx 1066 gigabytes because there is another model with three gigabytes memory well this one will run every game without problems with huge VPS 60 70 100 it depends on games so it's super super powerful the laptop it feels very nice I really like this design and that logo on the back is illuminated it looks great great here we have the upgrade panel you have a review how to install an SSD in in a laptop like this the previous model this one as you know it has a lot of connections it has four if I am NOT mistaking in this moment for USB audio jack display port HDMI so don't worry about connections you have card reader you have USB C port here and that's it anyway you you can connect everything at this laptop but let's let's see how it looks and let's see that amazing keyboard with RGB colors you know you have a special software and you can edit them and you can make them in any way you want you can choose any color this is the TN display anti-reflection it's great great great don't worry about this new generation of this place it's super great and as you can see it no reflections like older models this is the keyboard here we have something new we have these buttons for for Mouse the older version that I had didn't had these buttons let's start the laptop for the first time and let's say these amazing lights on the keyboard and here on the on the logo on the back let me let me turn off the light to see them better as you can see here this is the illuminated logo on the back of the display and the keyboard acids Republic of gamers is is the only brand that will bring you this amazing keyboard it's amazing illumination system because you can choose here any color and effect you can apply a tones of effects rainbow music you have a special application for that it's called aura RGB from Asus I will make a separate video for that when you press the on the power button you will get this screen it's a special screen where you can see the special specifications anyway I have a special program and you will see them here you'll see that this is the latest I say one coffee-like cpu it's very very powerful as you can see here it has nine megabytes cache memory that's huge and it will work without problem everything especially if you put a super powerful SSD in this laptop as video card as I said GTX 1066 gigabytes memory very very powerful it has for example compared with the GTX 1050 TI this one has as ask you de course I hope I pronounced correct they are double as specifications also it has memory speed at 8 gigahertz compared with 7 gigahertz the 1050 TI also it has memory bars 192 bit the other one has 128 bit and so on anyway you will get as performance in real game you will get a boost with 40 almost 50 percent then the GTX 1050 Ti so if you don't know what to choose this one gtx 1066 gigabyte or the gtx 1050 TI i will advise you to get these it's a new verse station it will it will bring you a boost up to almost half then the 1050 so you'll get 50% cps in games also if you want to buy the gtx 1060 with 3 gigabytes that one will bring you something 20% more fee PS than the 1050 TI so these are the percentages so I would let you to see how fast will will this laptop this laptop will installed in a Windows it's a genuine with serial number and anyway it has the Intel 760 P inside of it so it will have super speed the windows it's on USB stick so let's see and thanks for watching please like share subscribe watch my other videos and check my youtube channel because I'll post videos with this with his laptop and the performances in games so thanks again please like share subscribe thanks you

hey what's up YouTube it's ICU today we're going to be unboxing and reviewing the brand-new 2018 MacBook Pro which was just released today July 13th 2018 following a surprise announcement in a press release yesterday morning now be sure to give this video a huge thumbs up also click that subscribe button ending the notification bell below to be informed any time we release unboxing videos and down below in the description as well as in your cards right now there's a link to a post on best tech infocomm that contains everything you need to know about this laptop including links to already get it at a discounted price if you are purchasing it for education purposes with that said let's get straight into this this is the base 15-inch MacBook Pro model which starts at $23.99 and it actually is configurable all the way up to 60 $6.99 so definitely you're going to want to take advantage of that discount listed in the description on that first link there so taking a look at some of the specifications here this is configurable up to a 2.9 gigahertz six core eighth generation Intel Core I nine CPU with up to 32 gigabytes of RAM finally and 4 terabytes of storage which is absolutely insane this upgrade alone cost more than the entire cost of the base laptop with all of the aforementioned upgrades applied it's seriously, 30, two hundred dollars just to go from 512 gigs to a four terabyte SSD now it's no secret that the first incarnation of this MacBook Pro embodiment released in 2016 was widely criticized and while questionable design changes including the controversial touch bar and restrictive reliance of USB C for all charging and data transfer purposes are here to stay Apple has been listening to customers in addition to finally allowing 32 gigabytes of RAM to be added to the MacBook Pro Apple brings the I 9 CPU that I just talked about to the high-end configurations of the new 2018 MacBook Pros they even swapped out the aforementioned faulty keyboard with quote and improved third generation keyboard for quieter typing other additions include the new t2 chip first found in the iMac Pro for always on hey Siri and new sensors to bring true tone display technology to the MacBook Apple also states that the upgrade to Intel's eighth generation six core CPUs boosts the 15-inch MacBook Pros performance by 70% while the quad-core 13-inch MacBook Pro models gain up to 2x performance boosts now taking a look at the box itself we just have a picture of the macbook pro on the front remember nothing has changed from a design standpoint this still maintains that 2016 refresh design makeover that we talked about earlier and both sides of the box feature an Apple logo whereas it says MacBook Pro on the bottom as well as the top flipping it over on the back here we just have some specs so let's go over those now for this 15-inch MacBook Pro remember this does have a 15 point 4 inch display when measuring diagonally that's retina LED backlit with treat own technology and a resolution of 2880 by 1800 this one does have the 2.2 gigahertz six core Intel Core i7 CPU with nine megabytes of shared l3 cache and turbo boost up to four point one gigahertz this one also has, 16, gigabytes of RAM not 32 gigs and it's 20 400 megahertz ddr4 sdram and it has a 256 gigabyte pcie-based SSD a Radeon Pro 550 X with 4 gigabytes of gddr5 memory as well as the onboard Intel u HD graphics 630 now this also has four Thunderbolt 3 ports that of course is that USB C style interface with support for high-speed i/o and video out it has a headphone jack stereo speakers this has the touch bar with touch ID you cannot get a new 15 inch version without the touch bar it has a backlit keyboard with an ambient light sensor and this is actually the third iteration of the butterfly keyboard mechanism that's supposed to provide for quieter typing but I've got to tell you guys when I tested it out I didn't notice too much of a difference between this one and even the keyboard found on the 2016 version it also has 802 11 AC Wi-Fi bluetooth 5.0 a FaceTime HD camera and of course it comes pre-installed with Mac OS alright so getting started we're just going to cut through the plastic wrap that is protecting the box using my knife here and we're just going to start the process by pulling the plastic off all right and lifting the lid reveal the MacBook Pro sitting directly on top inside of a plastic protector that actually has this really nice included built in tab to allow you to easily pull the laptop out of the box alright and lifting the MacBook Pro up and out we're going to set it off to the side for a second and talk about what comes in the box itself alright so at the bottom we just have apples typical USBC cable this is dual mail USB C so what you're going to do with this is you're going to be able to plug one end into the actual wall adapter and the other end into the macbook itself into one of those four USB C ports we talked about because of course those are used for both data transfer and power and what's really cool is that this cable again can also be used for more than just charging your laptop like I said it can be used for data transfer purposes though it is a slower speed than what you'd expect if you were to pick up a dedicated new USBC cable now right up here at the top we have a little packet that says designed by Apple in California and we're going to open it up to reveal right on the front a little pamphlet that says MacBook Pro we're going to open it up and it basically just goes over some of the key aspects of the laptop itself both of the hardware as well as the software interface so this is just a nice way to quickly get new MacBook users acclimated with their brand new MacBook and then we have this little info sheet right here that just says MacBook Pro and of course we have the customary two white Apple logo stickers now we can set this pamphlet off to the side and beneath that we just have the USB C charging brick now this depending on which country you actually live in let me take it out of the plastic rafters will have a different wall adapter installed here and if you do happen to travel what's really nice is you can just pull this out and you can swap it out like so also you can actually buy an extender for this too because this is pretty short just with this cable right here because I believe this is only a three foot cable all right so that's everything that comes in the box we're going to go ahead and set the Box off to the side now and we're going to return to the start of this video the brand new MacBook Pro let's go ahead and take it out of this plastic now such a nice sound when you take that off of a macbook for the first time now this is again a very awesome design in my opinion this is the space create color and we're going to go over some of the more physical aspects and just a little bit but first I'm actually going to lift the lid which should immediately power the laptop on because that is a cool way to start it ever since the 2016 MacBook was announced of course you can start it just by lifting the lid you can also use the power button as well which on the 15 inch version is built into the touch ID fingerprint sensor which is right here to the right of the touch bar which is a dynamic OLED display that you can actually customize so again I'm going to set this thing up and I'm going to be right back after we take this piece off the display alright so again I'm going to set this computer up and I'll be right back once that set ups finished alright so inside of the set up process for this macbook I happen to notice a new screen and that is right here after enabling Siri when we go ahead and click continue it says to set up hey Siri now I said that with a pause just to give you guys a chance to users throw on some headphones or skip past this part so your device doesn't accidentally pick it up in fact I'm going to have to unplug my home pod here really quick so it doesn't go crazy give me one second and I'll be right back all right so let's set this up so let's go ahead and click continue hey Siri hey Siri open the Documents folder hey Siri show my downloads hey Siri what's the weather hey Siri what does the rest of my day look like alright so those are just some quick examples of what you can use Siri to do now on the new macbook because of course Siri has been a part of Mac OS for a while now but with the inclusion of that brand-new t2 chip it has that always-on hey Siri functionality so let's go ahead and click Next and of course now it's asking us to setup touch ID so I'm going to click continue we're just going to do that by placing our finger on the actual power button right here repeatedly just like what we would do on an iPhone 8 or older all right and now of course it's going to ask us to just capture the edge of our fingerprint and then we should be able to use that to unlock the MacBook except of course when you reboot you're going to have to input your passcode and now we have once again another new screen here on this brand new 2018 MacBook Pro this is just in regards the true tone display technology so you can see when we click on this it shows us what it's going to be like when it actually has true tone disabled versus when it's enabled right now so it says your Mac automatically adapts to the ambient light conditions to make colors appear consistent in different environments you can change this setting later and displays and system preferences so this feature is first revealed and actually rolled out to a device by Apple with the iPad I think it's absolutely phenomenal it's great for reducing blue light exposure during the day because of course at night we have night shift but during the day you're also going to want to actually be easier on your eyes and also this does help with this Akkadian rhythm right before bed and right before the Sun actually sets so it's a fantastic feature I'm so pumped they added it to the MacBooks so we can just go ahead and here through the setup process and you can see boom more inside of Mac OS already first thing what I'm going to do is click the Apple logo followed by about this Mac in the top left hand corner and we're going to see immediately that this is the brand new 2018 MacBook Pro now we don't have anything indicating early or mid MacBook Pro suggesting maybe this is going to be the only MacBook Pro update in 2018 previously Apple has done in the past two incremental updates to Mac's per year but of course we haven't seen one this year and it's unlikely that we're going to see another one again so this is the 2018 MacBook Pro period all right so now moving on as we start to finish up this unboxing and review I'm going to install a couple of apps from the Mac App Store that are just going to be used as benchmark tests we're going to test both the read and write speed of this computer as well as run a general benchmark to kind of see an overall cumulative score that's supposed to be representative of this computer's power as a whole so let's get into that I'm going to speed through the installation process and I'll be right back okay so now with the tools we need installed we're just going to open up launchpad and we're going to launch black magic disk speed test here so what this is going to do is it's just going to write a single large file to the computer and it's going to read and write it and we're going to be able to get an idea for what we're actually going to be able to do with this computers read and write speeds so absolutely fantastic it looks like we're getting about 1,200 megabytes per second on the right and 2500 megabytes per second on the read absolutely fantastic speeds here you can see that it reports we're able to do basically everything except write and 4k at 10 bit using this codec right here so some fantastic speeds on this MacBook Pro Apple promised more professional and it looks like they're definitely delivering even though it does have a hefty price tag if you really want to get it to live up to that pro moniker so now let's go ahead and switch over to Nova bench here and as I mentioned Nova bench is just going to test the computer from a purely spec to give us kind of an overall cumulative reading that's supposed to be reminiscent of this computer's power so I'm going to hit start test and it's just going to run through all the tests that it needs to do to again benchmark this machine so I'm going to speed this process up it is not in real time we're going to resume when it finishes and during this metal test here actually pushing the graphics cards to its limits looks like we're getting consistently locked at about 40 to 50 FPS which is actually pretty great especially since this is the lower end upgraded GPU on the 15-inch models of course we do have that dedicated GPU that we discussed previously so you can see here that we do get a nova bench score of 20 66 which is actually phenomenal for a base 15-inch MacBook Pro I would be completely blown away to see what the spec top version of this would receive with that I 9 GPU 32 gigs of ram and the improved graphics card alright guys so that just about wraps up this video review of the brand new 2018 MacBook Pro I just kind of wanted to give you guys an overall highlight of the machine itself now we did discuss that touch bar previously this has been a part of the 15-inch MacBook since 2016 but for those of you who maybe haven't seen it before let me just show you it is dynamic as I previously mentioned and that is customizable inside of system preferences it's an OLED display so it has absolutely phenomenal viewing angles as well as actually indirect light it's just perfectly crisp so you'll pretty much always be able to see it it's fantastic again I've had this laptop or this incarnation of the laptop since 2016 and it works flawless for me I actually kind of like the touch bar it's cool to be able to customize it and it is dynamic of course that also means that you're going to receive updates in the future because of course when something is mostly based on software like this is it can change over time and of course we do have the stereo speakers which should be louder here and we have this larger trackpad that of course was first introduced again in 2016 I know I sound like a broken record here but again this design is here to stay for at least the 2018 MacBook maybe we'll get a new refresh next year we just don't know but of course this is a fantastically huge trackpad then if we take a look at the sides again we really don't have anything on the right we just have those two USB C ports as well as that headphone jack and closing it up you'll be able to notice how completely thin and streamlined it is looking over at the left we just have those other two USB C ports and that is it remember you're going to be using those for data and charging purposes so let's go ahead and open this up and we're just going to do one last thing that I just thought of we're going to say that hey Siri command and I'm going to show you guys that it activates here using my voice when we set it up previously during the initial setup hey Siri what's the what's up guys today's review is all about the dull g5 now if you're watching one of our videos for the first time hey how you doing my name is Caleb this is reality check and we do take focus reviews once mosey on down to that subscribe button give a little press we appreciate the support maybe a young like and without further ado let's jump into it so today is all about the dull g5 now it's a really decent budget gaming laptop so obviously you gonna see the updated 8th gen hard way and some minor changes to the bolt here and there but all in all it's really really cool let's talk about a little bit more detail we rockin the base configuration of an i-5 8300 H a gtx 1060 with max q design 8 gigs of ram a 128 gigabyte SSD and one terabyte HDD as well as a 1080p IPS 60 hertz refresh rate display now that's a really nice fun variation you're gonna get some decent performance out of that but if you want a little bit extra you can't spec it all the way up to a nicety of an 87 750 H and 32 liters of ram so there is plenty of space for more performance power the g5 is clearly built to house mid tier internals and i-5 10-6 the combination is going to take you far but what sets it apart from other budget gaming laptops in the same price range is that it's got a decidedly premium robust bullets way as you might get plastic chassis with other budget gaming laptops the entire bottom half of the g5 is fully metallic and it's virtually no flicks anyway on the inner dick also the screen hinge which is attached in the middle and you don't see a lot of his attached nice and firmly to the body there's a little bit of flex to it but there's also a decent amount of resistance which allows you to open it with just one hand the g5 also has a really nice fully fledged keyboard with a great layout nothing's really been removed or adjusted to make space for all the keys and it's got a decent tactile response could be a bit deeper but I was very happy with it but the keyboard is backlit with white LEDs and if you were using this in a professional context you know if you pop the lid up it looks like any other professional laptop so it will definitely suit your needs and in professional environments the touch pad is also really nice it's got a smooth matte metallic surface which is really great and responsive and it feels nice on the fingers and then also the size of it is great I've checked out a lot of dull laptops recently and I really appreciate the size of this touchpad the port selection on the g5 is also really decent it offers you plenty of USB 3s for whatever peripherals you might have but the nice addition here is the SD card reader for small scale content creator and then also the addition of a USB sea which is really dope and you might not see that on other budget gaming laptops so I was pretty happy with that the speakers on this property are also really good so they've got great clarity and a decent amount of bass but you also have to understand it's a laptop it's not made to be kicking out like Harmon and Gordon level sound like it's laptop speakers they perform an and and they perform admirably for what they are performance wise it's exactly what one might expect from an i-5 1060 combination so you're gonna be able to play most games at the medium to high settings it's perfect for things like csgo dota 2 league of Legends overwatch fortnight's and then if that's not radio jam you'll still be able to play more graphically intensive games like 2 million Chiti 5 GTA 5 with some slightly reduced settings Premiere Pro applications also are completely usable on the g5 with rendering and exporting times being perfectly acceptable for the configuration then also it did really well in these Cinebench tests now on top of that it handles the heat fairly consistently I ran the stress test a couple of times and we were peaking at roughly in between 80 and 90 degrees and it was hard-pressed to go above 85 but if you use anything for long extended periods of times they are gonna get much hotter so this thing under extended pushes is gonna cap above 90 the last thing that subs on would be the battery life which is actually pretty solid in the g5 so if you were using it for day-to-day productivity tasks wave surfing checking the email stuff like that you're gonna get about six to seven hours of performance out of this puppy now obviously if you're running it at full full playing games and stuff like that you're gonna get closer to 2 but laptops and it's not designed to be run unplugged for gaming and stuff like that so I don't know just be smart guys obesity the screen is a 1080p IPS 60 Hertz refresh rate panel and you can actually get it's baked all the way up to a 4k but we're just rockin the 1080p version and the only thing to say is that the bezels are quite large but the screen is fairly color accurate it's fairly bright has got an anti glare map display so that's quite nice for gaming in bright environments and just general usage and I was pretty happy with it it's just it's just a touch busily that's all I could say another thing worth mentioning is that the g5 comes with a bag free with the purchase and it's a really nice one as well there's lots of front protection it's got plenty of powders it looks sick it's just a nice addition to the purchase that should get for free so that's pretty much it for the dull g5 guys clearly is a budget gaming bold in a 20,000 ran for that base configuration it's highly appealing you're getting really solid internals you're getting a bold policy that surpasses many other budget gaming laptops in the same price so it's like I mean it's just really sturdy and aesthetically it can be used in many different environments but very much a hey guys this is Cesar again for a new laptop review video I know it's kind of late for the ROG Strix GL 5 v 3 V D but here it is nonetheless we've definitely been blessed by Pascal's introduction the difference between desktop and laptop and video GPUs are narrowing asus rog s latest gtx 950 powered notebook stands on its own but for how long can it hold don't be fooled not all of the brushed aluminum looking parts not actually aluminum nevertheless it's premium look and feel and semi rigid construction is a win for me the color scheme is on what would strike them fancy but the shades of red and orange that they use blend well enough for the metallic black finish the ROG logo in fact lights up the best in overly dark places keyboard Flex is exceptional I couldn't reiterate how surprised there was even while pressing down harder than I should even the displays flex is respectable what strip provided generously I have no complaints about it whatsoever what made me tear up a bit was the SD card reader it's such a good thing to have on laptops for content creators like me despite its profile and general weight of 2.6 kilograms along with its 120 watt power brick it was pretty easy to carry around on a daily basis in commute it gets me approval rating as far as daily luggage I use it to display more than any appoint external monitors for multimedia and work materials at the match color accuracy even for gaming it's definitely there but not at the top the resolution and screen size strikes a decent balance for density I got the variant with a 72% NTSC 170 degree wide viewing angle display and I was definitely more than pleased with the time I spent with it I'll be it short it was spectacular not overbearing backlight bleed were present on the lower left and upper left portion size of typing a little bit of color calibration will not do wonders but it's there for those who want the most out of it the RGB fad has yet to die lie low moving on the GL 5 type 3 V DS chiclet keyboard was not even close to being an exception the key caps were and shine through making it very hard for light to spread it only was noticeable when the room lighting is off if any I loved typing and gaming on it only when I use it at home was that I prefer to use my mechanical keyboard more the i7 7700 hqn GTX 1050 combo fared well in my testing state urban scores were astounding but the 512 CBD hyper-threaded quad core mobile SKU continue to do its job temperatures on the other hand was quite disappointing for some reason on both synthetic and gaming benchmarks the CPU kept on throttling the hottest score was stress testing with either 64 extreme was at 86 degrees Celsius with a throttling at around 20% an average when you think about it it's actually a huge hit in performance when it comes to real world applications continuing the barrage of synthetic benchmarks next up was time spy it produce a rounded decent score but for the price that the ROG Strix GL 5 v 3 V D goes for it makes me wince a bit every time I finish a benchmark run on the gaming side of things who needs ultra settings anyway when there's are more I friend the configuration that also gives you 60 FPS at least sidelining temperatures again the GTX 750 hovered around mid to high 70s without hitting 80 I find it really amazing but the CPUs constant mid 80 output continue to be off-putting the SATA 3 SSD did well in Crystal disc mark netting 400 3.5 megabytes per second of sequential read and 150 three point nine megabytes per second in sequential ride the one terabyte mechanical drive is by no means an unreliable storage for games however I'd still recommend to have the game she actively play in the SSD or upgraded to at least 240 gig 1 front firing stereos haven't been my thing for a long time reversal autocratic with just positioning what I'd focus more under overall clarity and room volume it produces first of all the absence of a dedicated subwoofer at this price point was uncalled for in some ways I don't know what went down in the design phase but with the gaming laptop mystic surely some people that used to see me subwoofer down there volume is a-ok though going for the maximum possible grounds out the entry level clarity it produces Asus may have tried to make it a flat sounding it's possible if you guys get overblown better maybe near peak [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] the HD webcam does well for general purpose maybe even for streaming the relatively small 48 what our back inside would in fact a wallop for those who want to game on a go without surveying a cafe first for power outlets since I don't have a testing suite I had to resort to practical methods by forcing the screen on due note that Wi-Fi is the other thing that's always on while on turn a ting between internet browsing and word processing the ROG Strix GL 5 v 3 video lasted a little bit over four hours gaming on the other hand is an entirely different story playing Tekken 7 on it from 100% took about an hour and a half before the laptop slept considering new releases like Asus credit or Helios 300 it make this thing a lot however this is Asus that we're talking about try to intercept local after sales have proven why they have always done a podium finish again this has been Caesar manager shaker and thank you for this is Lisa from mobile tech review and it's that time of year again post CES the consumer electronics tradeshow it's time for a new XPS 13 from Dell this is the Dell XPS 13 9380 we reviewed every generation that they've released approximately once every year so this year what's new is this color which is some sort of silvery white or almost a pearlescent white I like it a lot actually and it has the white basket-weave interior that you can get with the rose gold version last year rose gold is still available so is the usual silver with the black carbon fiber interior what else is new Intel eighth generation call it 8.5 whiskey Lake quad-core CPUs unless you off to the i3 the core i3 is still a dual core so that's the latest minor revision in the Intel eight generation CPU world 415 want ultrabook CPUs and cons are pretty powerful these days and lastly most importantly probably because it was the one thing that was sort of a fatal flaw for a lot of people was the chin cam that was at the bottom bezel has now been moved up to the top they came up with a 2.2 five millimeter micro HD 720p webcam that they can actually fit up top so no more chin cam I used to wonder if the folks that Dell had their internal Skype chats and everything like that everybody was looking at everybody else's nostrils and Chin's right so I'm gone finally we're gonna look at it now so you'd be forgiven for not being able to tell the Dell XPS 13 9380 apart from the 9370 the 9370 herald in the design change that reduced legacy ports so you're still talking about two Thunderbolt three full four LAN ports one USB C port and a headphone jack and a micro SD card slot and that's it dongles are your life after that our USB seadogs our Thunderbolt 3 docks to get the idea the display options are the same we have the 4k model this time and that's a fork a touch screen there's still a full HD non-touch display glossy I believe and for our 4k model it's still a sharp display just a minor revision from the previous model number I suspect you know that happens in a year's time probably slightly improved in one way or another in terms of color gamut in terms of color accuracy actually comes calibrated from the factory which is nice to see and it was a pretty accurate calibration you can display metrics on screen they're quite good this is not a super wide gamut display like the XPS 15 4k uhd option offers but it's still a very good display and based on the previous year's models even the Full HD is a nicely done the spline this does get incredibly bright at 506 nits of brightness for our 4k panel and gone is what Dell did in some of the older generations of the XPS 13 where they had a BIOS based on a brightness that you could not control defeat overwrite so now if you want to sear your eyeballs and run it at 500 is in the dark you can go ahead and do that inside we have Intel whiskey Lake 8th gen 15 watt quad core cpus like I said and you can see the specs on-screen so we have a core i3 option always with the elements they go the whole gamut from super low-end configurations to you got it all on the top end of this so the core i3 is still a dual core in the whiskey like but for the core i5 and the core i7 just like other ultrabooks we've reviewed recently it's a quad core CPU and it's a very performant CPU with the Intel UHD 620 graphics something this small and light typically you're never gonna find dedicated graphics so if you want something like that there is the Razer Blade stealth with nvidia NX 150 dedicated graphics low-end dedicated graphics granted but that's an option there we still have low powered ddr3 RAM in side and it's still soldered on you can go anywhere from 4 gigs up to 16 gigs since it's soldered on you can't upgrade it after the fact you cannot do 32 gigs after the fact yourself for example we have fast PCIe nvme SSDs and m2 SSD so you could upgrade it if you want a bigger capacity later on starts out at 128 gigs on that base model goes all the way up to 2 terabytes if you want to pay for them you can well you can do that we have the 512 gig model and that's the fast samsung PM 9 81 SSD which is currently the fastest on the market and typically with the XPS 13 Dell does go with a top-of-the-line Samsung SSD inside just like last gen we have me killer Wi-Fi instead of Intel which is probably it's I don't hate it as much as Sony some you don't like killer at all but the Intel 95 60 AC would be standard normally for Intel whiskey like CPU platform so I would have liked to have that but it's still killer 1435 like the last generation the keyboard is actually the same I'm not gonna go into detail about that it's backlit one thing to keep in mind if you do order the one with the white interior is it is a white keyboard with white backlighting which means in middling lighting it might be a little hard to see the keys because the backlighting will keep turning on but if it's really dark it's fine if it's very bright it's fine it has 1.3 millimeter key travel it's decent it's not I don't adore it because it's pretty low travel keyboard and it feels a little hard as you're bottoming out on the keys but it's fine you can get used to it it's at least normal let's put that way there are some strange ones out there like Dells own maglev keyboard for their XPS 15 two and one and we'll obviously Apple's MacBook keyboards a little weird we have a Microsoft precision trackpad again just like last year and just like last year it's still an excellent trackpad that I like a lot a usual glass surface not too smooth so it's good you got enough traction kind of Goldilocks principle just right between slippery and not slippery for those of you who haven't had one of these late model XPS thirties and you're thinking about either the white or the rose gold one with that kind of white basket weave I would call it interior keyboard deck surface yeah we saw the 9370 from last year and honestly it still looks great it really is seems to be impervious to grease and dirt and all that stuff because you know palm rests you could be an NST so it's perfectly fine or you can go with carbon fiber which looks really cool but really does show fingerprints you can clean the mom but yeah so thanks to their removal of the chin cam there's no room for the windows hello IR camera anymore so you can get a fingerprint scanner if you want that's an option but there is no Windows hello IR camera option so smiling at your laptop is not gonna log you in any more speakers the same as last year their little 1 watt speakers - one watt speakers with wave max pro audio software and you know it's a tiny Ultrabook and there's not a lot of room for speakers so they sound pretty thin they're suitably allowed to fill a small room with sound but you probably gotta resort to the headphone jack for you want some really good audio experience going on when it comes to heat and noise and performance pretty much the same story as last year when we look at a PC Mark 10 and we see the how high the CPU stays pegged that turbo boost I see a little bit more see-sawing this time around probably because it runs just ever so slightly hotter than last year's Mahlon because it's about a hundred megahertz or so faster no big deal really it benchmarks very well as do its competitors actually with the same CPU inside so it's good performance there like I said it does run a little bit hot you're not gonna burn yourself to the touch because it has a pretty thick bottom it has that cortex thing to keep the heat away from you and going on inside but the CPU core temperatures say even running something Geekbench four which is not that demanding a CPU test you can see the core is hitting near thermal max of 100 degrees centigrade a lot of very thin ultrabooks get pretty hot these days internally and they seem to be surviving just fine so it's not the end of the world but it's my job to make you aware of them speaking of that though the HP Spectre x-360 13-inch the latest gem cut edition that we recently reviewed you know the spectre x360 has always had a reputation for being a hot customer and you can see the comparison on screen between Geekbench for temperatures between our XPS 13 and that Spectre x-360 on the x360 actually maintains somewhat lower core temperatures I will say the x360 gets a little bit hotter on the bottom to touch those so it's dissipating the heat on the bottom so battery life well it's the same 52 watt hour battery as last generation and it's the same 45 watt charger no 65 watt charger for faster charging probably they want to keep thermals under control as my guess as to why they're doing that so battery life is not so different from last generation whiskey like is a little bit more power efficient though so that does help it's gonna depend as always with the XPS 13 whether you get the full HD or the 4k the 4k really is a big power hit so if you're getting the full HD and say you're going with the Core i5 and then you should be able to get 9 to 10 hours out of this which is pretty darn good if you go with the 4k option then expect 2 hours less or so in terms of runtimes which is also still pretty good for a 4k laptop now that's doing average productivity and some streaming video 115 it's a brightness for the spike obviously if you use more aggressive power management lower your brightness you can get even longer runtimes same story is opening up lasts last year's XPS 13 so you have 8 torques t-50 visible here and here they are they're super duper tiny they're painted white to match the finish of ours and then you work a guitar pick or a pry tool around back edge included wear it in sets by the fan and you pry it off which takes some effort the plastic clips are tenacious on this and we have sounds like metal one very heavy-duty piece of metal do the metal here is a little sharp so be careful watch yourself around the edges over here and here's our internals which again look just like last year's mouth this is pretty well so there's a little rigidity clip here that the the lid mat goes right into so that actually they had to make a hole in the battery there to accommodate that same as last year our 1 watt stereo speakers right over here our m2 SSD nvme is under here so they've got a little heat shroud over it so you're gonna remove that unscrew it and then you can replace the SSD if you wish to too teeny tiny little fans our heat sink pipes 2 of them and the heatsink over the CPU right here this is where the fan exhausts from and there are little cutouts in the area behind here so the fan air can come out and the Wi-Fi card is soldered on board here which would be given that these are the antennas on this chip right over here so no swapping out that Wi-Fi card if you don't like that killer 14:35 Ram is soldered on board as ever with the Dell XPS 13 so get it with the amount that you need because you can't upgrade it later on same 52 watt hour battery by the way that we saw in last year's model which is a decent capacity battery especially given how small this is so obviously there's competition out there for the XPS 13 it started the thin bezel craze it started the Super Micro tiny 13-inch laptop footprint and it's good to have choices of course you have the HP spectre x360 13 inches I just mentioned for those even want to convertible and you want a pen option and you want a premium sort of chassis there's a razor blade stealth 20:19 Edition that we'll be reviewing soon with optional NVIDIA MX 150 graphics there's a lot of good choices there's a huawei mate book X Pro which is a 14 inch machine that has become surprisingly popular but I have to say there's a lot of brand trust for dell and in corporations obviously probably the big names like Dell HP and over what people are going to be looking at for those of you out there who do have choices but you're still looking for conventional laptop than a dozen x360 new features like that you know it doesn't have dedicated graphics because you're never going to be doing much that's super [Music] hi I'm hot and today we are going to take a look at how well the late 2015 mid-level notebook the Lenovo IdeaPad Y 700 performs in titles that have been released in the past two years including some very recent games slide Pachi fortnight and far cry 5 by the way this won't be a general review of the Y 700 as there are plenty of those on YouTube already the model I use is equipped with a NVIDIA GeForce 960m a Intel i5 6300 HQ 8 gigabytes of RAM and an SSD with a capacity of 256 gigabytes please note that all games were tested in Full HD with a overclocked 960m and under-voltage CPU to keep things cool and fast at the same time [Music] I also have videos on how to overclock your laptop and how to under bolt it so please check them out to you if you like this video any thumbs up & subs are highly appreciated thank you very much now let's have a look at the benchmarks I tried to run every game with medium settings if possible assassin's creed origins is a very demanding title but I saw a very playable 41 fps an average with medium settings which is what I would call playable for a action RPG in single player battlefield one was also playable with around 42 FPS on average even on a 64 player server if you play competitive you might want to know the settings or maybe even the resolution if you need much more than 60 fps far cry 5 is a very demanding and very new title but the why 700 was able to play it with 36 FPS on the low settings once again in my opinion playable for single-player fortnight performed pretty well with an average of 48 on high settings if you need 60 FPS or more you can choose medium or low and you're good to go [Music] I saw an average of around 50 FPS on Pachi once again if you need more than 60 FPS you should try to know the resolution scaling to maybe 90% then should be good to go the very beautiful ocean in sea of thieves was no problem for the 960m I saw an average of 44 FPS on medium settings which is called a rare in this game wetlands achieved a playable 37 if he ends with a mix of low to medium settings if you want more than that just go to low settings all the way or reduce the resolution scaling prey from 2017 isn't as Hardware demanding as other triple-a titles and so I was able to reach a stable 54 FPS on medium settings I was able to play Mass Effect Andromeda with an average of 44 FPS even though I had some drops to around the 20 spot as it is a single-player only I'd consider it still very playable as expected Mobile's like dota 2 on any problem for this laptop si was able to reach an average of 76 frames per second with the highest settings probably the most creative walking simulator ever created is Edith Finch with a very playable average of 50 FPS on high settings and last but not least the Indy space shooter ever space was very playable at high settings with an average of 50 fps so in conclusion I'd still consider the lenovo y 700 as a good a mid-range gaming laptop you will be able to play any game out there even though you won't be able to choose medium or high settings for every game or maybe if you lower the resolution you can do so but if you can get your hands on a used one for around 500 bucks I would consider this a very good deal thank you for watching see you next time bye bye [Music] [Applause] [Music]

what's up guys this is Mike the Detroit Borg and it's great to be back with some new hardware from Apple so apple has updated the 13 inch and 15-inch MacBook Pro with touch bar so in terms of the 13-inch the big new bullet points here include the new eighth generation quad-core CPUs replacing the dual core we also get a true tone display hands-free Siri command and the more important design change here is a redesigned third-generation Butterfly keyboard which is designed to be quieter and more reliable some other minor tweaks include bluetooth 5.0 a redesigned option key symbol and we also get symmetrical fundable 3 ports both the left and right side have the exact same speed this time the standard configuration starts off at $17.99 then I get to a 2.3 gigahertz core i5 you can upgrade through 2.7 gigahertz core i7 8 gigs of ram is standard but you can look great - 16 gigs for $200 I think that might be worth the upgrade price in terms of the RAM specs it's lpddr3 which is the same as last year which is clocked at 20 133 megahertz in terms of storage 256 is standard but you can upgrade all the way up to 2 terabytes for a mere $1,400 and of course it's available in silver or space grave first up we have some paperwork and the paperwork is pretty familiar of course we have a QuickStart guide in this case it's highlighting hi Sierra we also get a set of Apple stickers and some warranty info in terms of our power adapter again this is 61 watts with a USB type-c connector now this adapter is a pretty familiar design by now we have folding prongs which can be pulled off to add an extension cable or swap out for international wall adapters but this is actually a redesigned power adapter at least internally inside it has been cushioned for better shock protection but they've also replaced the metal USBC connector for a plastic design not sure why they did this but it might be more durable now the setup in this case is slightly different to take advantage of some of the new features with this MacBook Pro now this is the first Mac to use the Siri wake up come and so just like an iOS device or your home pod you can now use your voice for hands-free Siri interaction and of course you have to train your voice in order for this feature to work now this works thanks to the t2 chip and the three microphone array similar to Iowa the t2 chip allows the computer to monitor for your voice using very little power so as long as the computer is open you can command Siri even when it's locked or sleeping the weather is looking good on Sunday up to 77 degrees also new to the Mac but not new to iOS is true tone so again we get a demonstration of how the true tone display works so in addition to brightness the adaptive sensors will also measure for color temperature so this will reflect the ambient lighting conditions of the room the computer is in and what's great is true tone extends to attach displays like the LG 5k display or the Thunder will display and even the touch bar is using true tone to match the display on the MacBook so that's pretty impressive now because true tone needs to use the ambient light sensors and the t2 chip in the MacBook Pro to adapt the display color temperature this will not work if the lid of the MacBook Pro is closed so for a test displays if you want to take advantage of true tone you'll need to make sure your MacBook Pro is open the display is covered edge to edge with a glass panel with a nice anti-reflective coating so although we have a glossy display it does one of the best jobs in terms of mitigating glare that i've seen on any other laptop the IPS display once again is 13.3 inches with a resolution of 2560 by 1600 that's good for 227 pixels per inch we get 500 nits of maximum brightness along with the wide color spectrum of the DCI p3 spec we still have a 720p FaceTime HD camera in the same location as before with an LED indicator along with our ambient light sensors in terms of the touch bar once again this replaces the traditional function key row for contextual aware and interactive OLED display it's still a really nice looking design then I discover new uses for it every time but it's still something you have to consciously look at to use face ID didn't make it to the Mac books just yet but touch ID is still here at the red edge of the touch bar so again this is the same touch ID too sensor so it's pretty quick and accurate you can use it for unlocking your MacBook or for authenticating for passwords or payment the glass force touch trackpad is still here as well so once again is of a mechanical trackpad we have a taptic motor that replicates physical clicks again it's pressure-sensitive which gives you a new layer to the user interface and is still one of the best track pads on any laptop there is one visual tweak that's unique to the 2018 model and that's a slightly redesigned symbol on the option key which is a bit taller than it was from the 2017 redesign so I'm not sure why they keep changing this but hopefully they've settled on this and they can roll this out to other keyboards later this year once again we get a backlit keyboard with individual LED lights for each key so it's a very clean looking backlight but by far the most important news here is that Apple has added a silicon layer underneath each key camp which is designed to mitigate dust intrusion so it won't interfere with the operation of the keys but this also changes the clicking tone of the keys it's not necessarily quieter but it's less annoying so let's go ahead and take a listen to them side by side now personally I've been a big fan of this keyboard design since it came out because it's so fast there's less mechanical action and the keys are extremely solid and wide so you can hit the keys really quickly and accurately and this third-generation for the most part feels exactly the same but it's a little softer sounding and initially it doesn't feel quite as crisp as the second generation but if I wasn't comparing them side by side they wouldn't know the difference now ventilation is going to be very important for this computer because of those quad-core chips and if you go for the i7 you want to make sure this computer can breathe very well now there's lots of ventilation here but it's pretty well hidden so you'll find ventilation inside the hinge as before but you also find ventilation along the bottom side edge which is also part of the speaker design Apple also redesigned the internal speaker system so although the speaker grilles on the top are still fake outlets the speaker's actually come from the vents on the side the speakers and the chambers have been redesigned for the new larger battery and the effect here is definitely an improvement to my ears it's not louder but the quality of the sound has improved slightly so there's less of that tinny or muffled sound and more of a fuller wider sound after Christopher Pike requests permission to come aboard this is awkward but the best way to give into a cold Street to jump right I'm here a second man in the discovery under regulation 19 Section C the bottom of the MacBook has a single removable panel which is fastened with pentalobe screws and it's protected by four black plastic feet however this computer really is not user upgradeable everything is glued soldered and otherwise currently fixed to the motherboard of this computer so make sure you get the configuration you want from the store because you can't change it later we still get fourth undoable three ports two on the left two on the right and a headphone jack but this time the ports on the right side have the same 40 gigs per second throughput as the ports on the left side previously only the 15-inch MacBook Pro offer this capability but we finally get it in the 13-inch so two years later this four port design is still kind of a headache for a lot of people because it will need some adapters to use legacy peripherals but these high-speed ports can drive a 5k display high-speed storage and most recently an external GPU Apple even worked with black magic on an external GPU design which I'll feature in a separate video Apple did redesign the battery pack here from five cell to six cell and its larger up to 58 watt hours from 54 and a half watt hours now that doesn't mean we have more battery life it's still 10 hours but this offsets the power demands of the new quad-core CPUs also interesting is that although they've increased the size of the battery they've kept the weight the same by shaving the chassis down just slightly now take a look at our synthetic benchmarks comparing this to the same spec version from the last generation we can see this is one of the biggest spec bumps we've seen for a macbook pro since 2011 so when it comes to Geekbench the single core score is up modestly but the multi-core score going from 2 core 2 quad cores is a huge difference we go from about 8800 to over 15,000 or closer to 16,000 graphics performance is up only slightly so again we have an integrated GPU there is no dedicated GPU on the 13-inch model and this time is the Intel iris + 655 chip this replaces the standard 650 chip from last generation so with Cinebench despite the massive cpu gains almost twice the performance of the previous design the OpenGL score is only separated by a few frames-per-second SSD speeds are unchanged from the last generation which is to say they're extremely fast there is one side effect of these powerful chips that I noticed during my benchmarking and that's the fact that these get quite hot under low so the fans tend to spool up more so than they did with the dual-core processors of course that's the trade-off of more power you get better performance but you also get more heat that isn't to say that this computer runs hot all the time just when it's under load speaking of which one of the biggest controversies with this MacBook Pro when it first launched was thermal throttling which was just recently fixed with the patch so now we get consistently superior performance to the previous laptop so ultimately this really is a significant update it fixes one of the biggest uncertainties about the previous design which was the keyboard and makes a significant upgrade to the CPU but this remains a very expensive computer this really is for people who know they need the tools that this machine offers otherwise it's kind of an extravagance that it really goes unused which makes it unfortunate that they did not at least add a revised keyboard to the baseline MacBook Pro with a function key row now if you want even more probe features I will be covering the new 15-inch MacBook Pro with the what's up guys Mike here the Detroit Borg with the all-new MacBook Air this is so overdue I never thought we would actually see it so this is the first time the MacBook Air has been completely redesigned since 2010 in fact MacBook Air was one of the first Macs I ever reviewed and since the MacBook Air has been one of the most popular laptops of all time I think this is kind of a big deal so this new MacBook Air retails for $11.99 alongside the $9.99 of the original MacBook Air so a two hundred dollar premium brings you a lot more modern amenities including a Retina display we also get the new third-generation butterfly style keyboard along with a force touch trackpad touch ID much better speakers a more compact form factor along with more modern processors and Thunderbolt 3 ports and of course because the MacBook Air is available in three colors this time we're going to take a look at all three of them side by side so maybe get an idea of what color you might prefer now strangely the MacBook Air only comes with one processor this is a dual core eighth generation Core i5 clocked at 1.6 gigahertz now this is actually a custom 7 lot Y class processor this replaces the 15 watt you class processors from the old MacBook Air but those are really old fifth-generation processors and we'll talk about performance a bit later the base configuration gets you 120 gigs of pcie-based SSD storage which you can upgrade to 1.5 terabyte 8 gigs of ddr3 RAM is standard running at 20 133 megahertz and you can upgrade to 16 gigs on to the accessories taking a look at the paperwork first we get something we don't see terribly often which you can see peeking through the hole in the packet but we get some color matching Apple stickers so if you get the silver version it's just basically White's but if you get space gray or gold you get these metallic Apple stickers which pretty accurately reflect the color of the anodized aluminum so we've seen this with a 12-inch MacBook and we see this with the iMac Pro and the Mac Pros so at least we see it with the MacBook Airs in terms of our charging adapter this is a 30 watt USBC charger so this is up from the 29 watt charger we used to get with a 12-inch MacBook we also have a set of folding prongs which will pop off so you can add an extension cable or an international wall adapter and spoiler alert if you didn't know already the MacBook Air did lose the MagSafe power connector so now we're on to USB C which is the cable we get in the although the MacBook Air did not get the touch bar it did get touch ID and this is by far the cheapest way of getting touch ID on the Mac so during the say of the process you're prompted to train your finger now this can be used to unlock your MacBook Air authenticate payments or authenticate passwords MacBook Air also gets hands-free Siri this is thanks to the new t2 chip this actually remains somewhat rare on the Mac lineup only the MacBook Pro and the iMac pro currently have this MacBook Air did go on a diet so it's down to about two point 75 pounds from three pounds so it's not a night and day difference it's also quite a bit more compact than the old MacBook Air in fact it has the exact same footprint as the 13-inch MacBook Pro by far the biggest and most overdue improvement for the MacBook Air is the new Retina display so just like the MacBook Pro this is a 13.3 inch display with a resolution of 2560 by 1600 that's of concern from the 1440 by 900 resolution of the old 13.3 inch display this is the most affordable Retina display on the Mac and produces 40% more color than the old design we also get 4 million pixels up from 1 million pixels the other big change is IPS / TN so the old TN display had terrible effects is viewing angles so as you tilt the screen you can see just how bad the distortion was also gone from the old display is that wide bezel which was wrapped in aluminum so now we have an edge to edge glass panel which is also more anti reflective than the old glossy panel so if you look side-by-side you'll still see glare but it's definitely not as bad as it used to be it's quite a bit more tinted at first glance it looks like the MacBook Air has the exact same display as the MacBook Pro 13-inch but that's not exactly the case although we have the same screen resolution and the quality is still pretty good we're still liking the few features like true tone which matches the white balance to the ambient light in the room and the maximum brightness of the MacBook Air is 300 minutes versus 500 minutes for the MacBook Pro now you can really only achieve maximum brightness indirect lighting such as when you're outdoors so you can't really ramp up the brightness to this level so in my case I'm just shining lights directly at the ambient light sensors to bring up the maximum brightness and you can see there is a difference the other difference is that the MacBook Air lacks support for the DCI p3 color gamut although this is still a very vibrant and colorful display whites aren't quite as clear as they are on the MacBook Pro and colors like green and reds aren't quite as vibrant well to get the new third-generation butterfly style keyboard the same one that debuted with the 2018 MacBook Pro so the new design is quieter and they've improved durability by adding a membrane underneath each key which keeps dust down but this keyboard is a huge change from the old keyboard I'm actually a big fan of the butterfly style keyboard just because the keys are wider so they're easier to strike and the keys are far more stable so they don't wobble around like they did with the old MacBook Air and because there's much less mechanical travel these keys are actually really fast to type on I'm a really fast typer so I actually appreciate a shell a keyboard just because that means you're working less to press the keys but obviously preferences differ quite a bit and I think it just takes a little time to get used to the new keyboard before dismissing it unless you can improve the backlighting because each key gets an individual LED lights so you can see much less light leaking around the keys and each key character is more brightly lit once again the brightness of the keyboard is adaptive to the ambient lights but you can also manually adjust the brightness of the keyboard from the function row this is the first Mac keyboard that gets touch ID without a touch bar typically that's been combined but now we have a separate key just for it this still acts as a power button and like other touch ID sensors it's covered in sapphire crystal MacBook Air also finally gets the force touch trackpad replacing the mechanical trackpad of the old design so instead of the diving board style trackpad which was hinged toward the top we have a larger trackpad surface which responds to pressure and simulates a click thanks to a haptic motor so that clickin sensation and the sound is pretty much indistinguishable from a physical click but because we have the exact same force sensors across the entire surface you can press anywhere on the surface and get the exact same response this trackpad is slightly smaller than the one on the macbook pro so there's a little more room on either side but generally speaking the trackpad does have excellent palm rejection so you can rest your palms directly on the trackpad without triggering it on either side of the keyboard our front-facing stereo speakers which are a big improvement over the under keyboard design we had before these are 25% louder with twice the base and a much wider stereo sound so these speakers are much more immersive than the more muffled distant speakers we had before Starfleet is a promise I give my life for you you give your life I give my life for you and give your life for me and nobody gets left behind and nobody gets left behind now surprisingly the new MacBook Air replaced all of its old ports with two Thunderbolt 3 ports on the left side so gone is the SD card reader Thunderbolt 2 and the USB a ports also gone is the MagSafe connector now personally I've never been a big fan of Mac's safe just because I think it comes off way too easily and I definitely prefer a universal charging standard which means I have less cables and adapters to keep around Thunderbolt 3 and USB C certainly opens up the MacBook Air to a world of much powerful accessories so you can connect this to a 5k display you have data transfer speeds up to 40 Meg's per second and you can even connect an external GPU to improve graphics performance by up to 17 times MacBook Air certainly isn't the first Mac to go USBC only so there's quite a few adapters out there and for the most part the only adapter I actually need is an SD card reader otherwise I'm able to use usb C for basically everything at the top edge of the glass is the FaceTime HD camera still recording at 720p we also get an LED indicator and the ambient light sensors nearby we also have a three microphone array which is used for better voice recognition for Siri and what's kind of interesting is that the microphones are controlled by the t2 chip and when you close the lid of the MacBook Air and actually mechanically disconnects the microphone which means software good or otherwise can't get around this interrupts on the other side of the MacBook Air is a single panel which is held on with pentalobe screws those screws are actually color matched to the aluminum finish which is kind of a nice detail we also have those plastic feet and all four corners which protect the bottom of the MacBook Air similar to the old MacBook Air ventilation is hidden within the hinge but this time the hinge is integrated into the aluminum unibody of the design as opposed to a black plastic strip so it's a much cleaner design consistent with all of the other Macs in terms of the color selection silver is certainly not a new color we've had that since the beginning but Space Gray finally makes it to the MacBook Air although this is a color we've seen on the 12-inch MacBook and the MacBook Pro for a number of years but a new color here is gold and Apple keeps tweaking the gold color so now it's been updated to reflect the gold color that's also on the newest iPad 6 generation and the Apple watch so this is more of a coppery gold color it's quite a bit warmer than the yellow gold and not quite as pink as the rolls gold is the 12-inch MacBook was also dated to get this new color personally I'm still a huge fan of Space Gray but no matter what color you get you also get a matching Apple logo on the back so this is a polished inset Apple logo replacing the backlit Apple logo of the old MacBook Air another color matching detail is the macbook text on the front of the display so if you look closer you'll see that it actually matches the aluminum finish in terms of performance I mentioned earlier that this is running a 7 watt Core i5 processor which sounds less powerful than the 15 watt Core i5 or Core i7 from the old MacBook Air but if you take a look at the Geekbench scores you can see that this core i5 still beats those old processors so this is still a faster computer and even though we have a more powerful computer and a slightly smaller battery this MacBook Air achieves the same very life as the old MacBook Air so that gives you about 12 hours of wireless web browsing which is the best among all of the Mac books in terms of performance this entire video was actually made on a MacBook Air and although it's quite a bit slower than my iMac pro which I normally use it's certainly doable it definitely keeps the fans running at least if you're doing background processing but otherwise it's actually pretty smooth now what makes the MacBook Air a little confusing for shoppers is that its slots between two different computers with very similar pricing so we have the 12-inch MacBook and the 13-inch MacBook Pro without touch bar so the 12-inch MacBook and the MacBook Air are the exact same price 1199 while the MacBook Pro is only $100 more the big selling point for the MacBook remains its size and weight is still quite a bit smaller and lighter than the MacBook Air it's at 2 pounds versus 2.75 pounds it's also the only fanless Mac you can buy so it's always going to be silent but actually this is not geared toward performance a few other quirks about the MacBook include a 480p FaceTime camera and a single USBC connector so no Thunderbolt ports here and although the 12 inch has a smaller Retina display it's basically got the same specs as the MacBook Air so it doesn't have true tone doesn't have the DCI p3 spec and it only cheeves about 300 nits of total brightness as I've already mentioned the MacBook Air is actually very similar to the MacBook Pro in terms of its size and screen and most of the features are very similar the major difference really comes down to performance and some of the display specs so again the display isn't as or colorful as the MacBook Pro and the MacBook Pro offers better CPUs and graphics but the MacBook Air gains an edge with touch ID longer battery life and it's slightly lighter than the three-pound macbook pro in terms of performance between these three predictably the MacBook Air slots right between them much more powerful than the 12-inch MacBooks baseline configuration but not quite as powerful as the baseline MacBook Pro although if you look at that single core score you can see the MacBook Air is getting quite close but the big selling point for the MacBook Air is that it's the most current of these three the MacBook and the MacBook Pro without the touch bar haven't been updated for 2018 so they're overdue so either they're gonna update these in 2019 or the MacBook Air is gonna be expanded to fill their spots as always Apple doesn't make it easy to decide which Mac to get I definitely think it's worth e $200 upgrade from the old MacBook Air and I would still choose it over the MacBook and the baseline MacBook Pro just because it's the most current it offers the best form factor in dollar value but if [Music] you okay here's a quick review of the HP 15a why 1675 a 15.6 inch laptop up I bought from Curry's several days ago from the so called Black Friday week on sale this particular laptop I just said with 400 pound it was originally $600 shy of 600 it's now 399 um you know opinion no honestly if if you bought this for 600 pounds I would say you were probably ripped up because it's nowhere near worth 600 pounds a 400-pound I would say is a very big deal I mean Curry's usually have a special deal with them HP they always you to do a HP laptop arraigned you know Christmas Boxing Day time for a ring 400 pound this particular laptop comes in silver as you can see its got like a groove finish on the top from a distance actually looks like metal actually looks quite classy but closer up but don't know the camera can pick it up but it's not so high quality close up it's quite a tinny kind of plastic in terms of underneath unfortunately like most laptops these days you don't get any panels which can take off to upgrade the hard drive or a memory you do they'll get a removable battery which is quite rare these days most batteries are built-in which means just to take the whole panel at the back to replace it with this one you just flip these two switches you're in a pop save like a normal laptop like a laptop just to get three four years ago in terms of ports it has Ethernet HDMI has one USB 3.0 2.0 USB there to HP's in total now side I'm an SD cast on this side and then then the USB port so just one USB point 3.0 on this one which is a again that's quite unusual usually they give you to the DB ROM Drive is on this side DVD Drive so in terms of quality I mean for 400 pound I would say this is a good pretty good laptop and that the actual spec is got an Intel i5 7200 you processor which is a latest 7th gen processor unfortunately this the satchel 7th gen is not a lot different from the 6 it's just got I think it's got it runs a 2.5 gigahertz I think the previous one had a laptop from last year which I accidentally broke I think that ran at 2.2 and it's got super boost at the 3.1 so it turns the actual run processor is a mild improvement from last year just slightly better clock speed and probably better power consumption so so in terms of inside it's got an Intel I five seven two hundred you processor which is a good kind of middle-of-the-road processor allows you to do your video editing and more higher demand test in terms of Ehrman playing games I wouldn't bother with this model it's got a HD graphics 620 which is um apparently you can play 4k video but this particular screen is only a 720 rather than it's not full HD and it's certainly not 4k so I mean terms the graphics I mean every year Intel kind of co-ed graphic cards are so much better than last year but in my in my experience that barely improve you know if you play high-end games you can can play games on this by all means but the runner already lowest settings of all so spec it's got Intel processor set up a 5-7 Senate gen it's got 8 gigabytes of ddr4 Ram which is pretty normal for this kind of price and a one terabyte hard drive unfortunately it's a standard hair drive not a hybrid or a SSD hard drive so it can be a little bit sluggish it's got like I said LED 720p screen HD and it's got a four cell lithium battery which on the website on Curry's website claims you could you can last up to eight hours I haven't got anywhere near that kind of length I mean maybe I've had this for three days I think now which I mean I know sometimes you have to discharge and charge the battery 10 or 15 times until you get the kind of full you know right back to them I probably got maybe four and a half I was 5a bestest this Braves in the Internet but I certainly haven't got anywhere near eight hours in terms of a bill quality I mean if you've never had a HP laptop before HPER kind of again that the kind of middle-of-the-road especially this kind of price range I mean the quality it's not bad like I said that the tops it looks like strong distance was a bit tinny close up and keyboards nice nice nice kind of layout the finish is pretty nice not nice and smooth in here the touchpad it hasn't got one of these um you know just these giant oversized touchpad with no keys yeah actually comes with two keys which is I personally prefer these because you can rest two or three fingers while you use your left wing to use a point on the screen so I have him the touchpad a little bit slow and sluggish but that's probably normal because I'm just getting used to it for now but if you want a laptop which has got some keys rather than just being a big oversized touchpad which you tap with you know the buttons or whatever you know this might benefit you the only downside of the touchpad I see this is sacked the same kind of surface as this rest of it it's only got a tiny little Ridge here so you can move your fingers arraign and you don't even realize you have the touchpad sometimes because there's actually same surface usually the touchpad is usually slightly rougher so help your finger move more smoothly but it's not nothing wrong this I just find it a little bit sluggish but it's probably this me getting used to at the moment I mean overall it's quite a big laptop it's a normal 15.6 inch screen but the screen I don't see then the bottom it's quite wide in the bottom it's got this Ridge here so it's actually a little bit bigger than my old laptop I got I had from four years ago so but it's a lot thinner so I mean thin thin wires I mean it's probably barely more than inch I would say so it's quite quite thin it's actually slightly bigger than my old laptop because the actual the rim arranger screen is quite big in terms of performance like I said I've had this three days so I just turned it on so I mean it's not bad I would say like the computer I had last year which I broke acid then the other state is pretty much the same but I have found the hair drive a little bit sluggish you notice these days a lot of people say oh there's a good PC could SPECT the hair drive sluggish because I'll been replaced by a SSD had drives which are lightning fast the last up that laptop I had had a hybrid drive only had eight gigabytes of um SSD but it made a lot of difference because it's thought all the most frequently used programs as a loader than really fast I don't get with this one this one so I mean in terms of load in-house probably about 30 seconds I don't know something like that we're going to see the screen the screen is quite nice quite nice and bright it's not full HD as I said but it's nice and bright nice and clear in just the brightness here and on the keys by here you see that icon got up and down I don't have to press the FM bar and to do that seeing with the volume I'm going to suggest the violence on here the speakers are built in the bottom here see the vent here and here the same quality is pretty good this kind of price the four hundred quid or 399 like I said I have found it I mean if you won't buy this laptop now well you will find is a massive Windows Update because these are probably been in storage for a couple of months they're stored in a warehouse somewhere so you find a massive update from October all beginning November I mean your Windows 10 is this rent runs Windows 10 so just bear in mind you will spend a good couple of it was if not half a day updating the damn thing with Windows 10 so in terms of speed I have friended up the slower this click on Firefox the icon I have found a lot that the touchpad a little sluggish sometimes you have to press the buttons twice quite hard to make it work but that me bees just bedding in at the moment I just clicked Firefox settings he still hasn't loaded it's a lot bit sluggish but there was the hare driver just you know I I have cleaned up the hair drive I've done I've defrag date as well several times but it stalled ugly sluggish you can see it's a slow good now so just bear in mind I have found it a little bit sluggish read lastest I have transferred needy 900 gigabytes worth of data on to this so that probably explains why it's running a little bit slow so Firefox load takes a look last time I had use the low Firefox within two seconds because at a hybrid I'd drive so this one I have found a little bit slower than my last one but even though it has a slightly powerful more powerful processor but so in terms of running in software you think you get a pair of director 14 but it's a limited version with lots of the special features removed I've actually got number 59 here Denver here I've I've run power CyberLink PowerDirector and it works perfectly fine I mean if you want more power than buy an i7 processor but para director works perfectly fine an i5 processor or all the programs I've used on this have worked perfectly fine I mean I haven't tried any games I mean it will run the latest games apparently like I said I haven't tried but they will be in the lowest settings and they probably look like early ps3 games at best I mean I've asked my experience with the last laptop I had which is distr the built-in graphics chip so it's not built in dedicated graphics chips with this you have to pay another 50 hundred paying more to have that probably so that's that's my quick review of the HP 15 a Y 1675 a laptop which is now available for for 399 from Curry's in the so called blacks and Black Friday week-long sale so overall I would say I have found a little bit sluggish at times but hopefully that's just you know everything's bedding in the hard drive to scan used to the program they use I mean I have I up cleaning it up and everything but it is running a little bit slow for my liking I thought it would be a little bit faster but overall I've say for 400 pound if you wanted an i5 7th gen processor this is definitely worth the money in my opinion I mean it's definitely not worth 600 as it was originally but 400 pound you know I was definitely worth the money so thanks for watching

hey boys and girls today we are going to be unboxing and reviewing the ThinkPad e 560 let's just get right into our shall we so the e series I believe is aimed at business Indian thrifty 30 business thrifty business courses lenovo's you know you got a big wallet e enough like I said a little to be number one with quality am I saying their quality is 100% but this is closing one hundred percent again with any computer manufacturer of course we got our beats paper or a battery charge block here comes the laptop one of the first thing we will see we have VGA HDMI two USB ports and the land port all I'm so happy to see that after dealing with the nitrogen with the carbon systems that don't have one and the third USB G is three USBs and then one media drive I'm really surprised about that and of course you get your new Lenovo power source type okay so as soon as we open her up we realized that she has an i7 i7 chip a nice big keyboard with keypad so you got to score four thousand eight hundred and, 60, -four this unit has an AMD Radeon HD 8 750 m and a intel core i7 6500 you processor here's the stats we got we got a pretty good pretty good memory and relatively good clock speed on the graphics card processors also very nice coarse Windows 7 you know I wasn't expecting that good graphics card on this system the price I believe seven or eight hundred bucks for this unit and that is it's pretty good you know what after doing a benchmark on the carbon this is really nice this is really nice this should be able to have handle light weight CAD drawings definitely as we can see the windows experience is an even five and that 5 is for graphics processors processor gets seven point to memory as seven point three graphics 5.0 gaming graphics six point seven primary hard disk seven point nine makes me think that is probably an SSD in this sucker but yeah very nice I gotta say the size is not too bad it's a bit heavier than the other ones but not quite as bulky nice smooth corners and pretty big trackpad not a big fan of how huge the trackpad is but it is it can be very nice to have your number pad to the right sometimes you just can't live without that number pad and this unit is pretty slick it doesn't get too too warm gets wee bit warm but definitely doesn't get too warm it has a nice screen heyo that's my review that is my review of the ThinkPad e5 6-0 pretty slick pretty nice definitely worth the price always go Lenovo settle for no less settle for no substitute anyways have a good one guys
